Brome Lake Ducks

Pekin ducks were the first species of duck to be raised in Canada. Founded in Knowlton in 1912, Brome Lake Ducks is the nation’s oldest Pekin duck producer. The species originated in China and is renowned for its high-quality meat. Beginning in the 1960s and until the late 1990s, the ducks raised in Québec were mainly sold to Chinese communities across Canada and the United States. Today, Québec is home to several duck farms, and duck dishes are enjoyed across the province.
