Circular wood cheese mold painted in blue.

Cheese mold

This mold was probably used to make English cheddar wheels, which dominated cheese production in Québec from the late 19th century until the 1970s and were massively exported to Great Britain. In recent decades, hundreds of fine Québec cheeses have made a name for themselves on the international scene.
